The date for the Western Isles Cross Country Championships had CHANGED
from this Saturday 26th January to SATURDAY 9TH FEBRUARY. Naj from
Lochs schools has been in contact with me re transport and I think
they must have thought that it was still this Saturday. So if any of
the schools are intending to go this on Saturday...DONT!!!! We are
waiting on registration details from the NUAAC but hope to have 4
minibuses going down. If you do want to take part then you can e-mail
me and we can work out if there will be any seats available.
The second race in the Lewis and Harris Cross Country Series was due
to be held on 9th Feb but we have rescheduled it for either the 1st
March or another weekend in March. The web site will be updated to
give the correct date nearer the time.

All is in hand and since the previous posting two coaches and two
minibuses have been hired! We WILL depart at 6.45am from the council
car park - preferably early arrivals will fill the first bus (leaving
10 seats for the Harris contingent) and leave as soon as possible
before 6.45am. Other buses will leave a quick as possible there after
BUT we'll be on the road for 6.45am!
Would all cup holders get them gleaming and ready for the
presentation ...ta

I hope veryone knows by now...but the race has been cancelled due to a
slight southerly wind. However..worry not..YOU WILL GO TO THE
RACE....We cannot hold it in March as the small ferry is on and it
wont take athletes in our numbers so it will have to be after the
easter holidays. We will have a chat with Marie Levak from Uist to
arrange a suitable date and let all,know on the web site and e-mail.
So enjoy your long lie and training will be on as usual in the castle
grounds at 10.30am. We may even have more next time..
The last race in the Lewis and Harris XC is on 15th March and I will
send out registration details etc to all schools nearer the time.
