We are pleased to announce two Safe Routes to School (SR2S) training opportunities:
SR2S Basics
SR2S Basics is a one-hour conference call training for new comers to SR2S or those who would like a refresher of the Five Es and SR2S planning process. These calls are being held on January 20th at 10 a.m.; February 18th at 3 p.m.; March 23rd at 10 a.m.; April 22nd at 3 p.m.; and May 19th at 10 a.m. Registration is required. SR2S Regional Training
SR2S Regional Training is an all-day training that provides hands-on experience with the Five E’s, student/parent surveys, walking audits, and action planning. This training is a must for anyone who plans to complete an action plan. We recommend that you attend a SR2S Basics training (above) before attending the regional training. There will be three regional trainings in the first half of 2010:
· Southeast Michigan on Thursday, March 4th in Royal Oak – to register visit http://saferoutesmichigan.org/train.htm
· West Michigan at the end of March (Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo area – details coming soon)
· Northern Michigan in early April (Grayling, Gaylord, or Mackinac City area – details coming soon)
