Associates,
Monday night was better than a Michigan football victory! I join Joe and all the other Allen Creek Greenway Conservancy members in welcoming this breakthrough positive decision by Council. I want to pass on the ACGWC web site which is www.acgreenwayconservancy.org/
Please take the time to look at the Soule, Korea site which is awesome!
Sincere Regards, Ray Fullerton

Subject: ALLEN CREEK GREENWAY and COMMUNITY ART CENTER
As the Mayor said last night: this is a “beginning” – this is a “start”.
Carl Johnson, one of the founders of Ann Arbor based JJR, in his letter of October 30, 2006 to the Allen Creek Greenway Task Force, wrote as follows:
“The Allen Creek Greenway is the most important issue before the City of Ann Arbor at this time. It may not seem as such when compared to the urgencies of the moment. However, as history unfolds over the next one hundred years, the implementation of a comprehensively designed greenway will have a monumental impact upon the viability of the downtown and the City as a whole.”
The same can be said for a Community Art Center.
Thank you for the “beginning”. Thank you for “starting” the ball on its long and exciting journey.
In the not to distant future, you will be extremely proud of a restored structure housing the Ann Arbor Community Art Center side by side with the first major link in the Allen Creek Greenway.
As we are all indebted to those that gave life to Gallup Park and the Arboretum, future generations will one day look back with like indebtedness for your foresight.
