Squash Court #4 Unavailable M-W-F from 6:00-8:30pm

Dear Angela, 

A number of YMCA Members are very concerned about the sign on court #4 at YMCA National Capital branch that says Reserved M-W-F from 6:00-8:30pm. I spoke to the front desk about this and they told me to contact you regarding how much longer this restriction will continue. 

Many of us joined the Y because of the squash courts, and this restriction means that court access during prime playing time is now reduced by 25%. Squash players are having to wait in the hallways in order to make use of the reduced number of available courts. This has meant that many have simply given up and gone home.

Please let me know when this restriction will lifted.

As a regular user of the squash courts and a long-time member of the Y, I strongly agree with Jason's concern: I joined primarily for the squash facilities, which have already lost one court to the climbing walls and periodically are unavailable for other uses such as day care and martial arts. We need all four courts that are left: Please keep them open for the purpose they were built.
