Plot

The film opens with a book launch event of Professor Siddharth Das (Rajendranath Zutshi), who has written a book about Krishna Cottage and its secrets. He donates a copy of the book to JC College, where a group of close friends study: Manav (Sohail Khan), Shanti (Anita Hassanandani), Kabir (Ali Hassan), Akshay (Hiten Tejwani), Nupur (Divya Pallat) and Talli (Vrajesh Hirjee). The college principal removes the book from the library and places it in an abandoned storeroom, as he believes the book is cursed.

A new girl named Disha (Ishaa Koppikar) joins the college and gets close to Manav, who feels strangely drawn to her, despite being engaged to Shanti. Disha also shows interest in Professor Das's book and tries to get hold of it. Strange telekinetic events happen at Manav and Shanti's engagement party, one of which nearly kills Disha. The group decides to drop Disha home, but their car breaks down on the way. They spot a signboard that leads them to Krishna Cottage, where they decide to spend the night.

At Krishna Cottage, the friends experience more paranormal phenomena, such as moving objects, eerie noises and ghostly apparitions. Two of them are attacked by an unseen force and are hospitalized. Disha reveals that the spirit behind these incidents is her dead boyfriend, Amar Khanna, who is obsessed with her and wants to kill anyone who comes between them. She also says that Amar was the author of Professor Das's book, which he wrote before his death.

Nupur reads the book and discovers that it exposes something about Amar Khanna, but she is killed by the spirit before she can tell anyone. Talli overhears a conversation between Professor Das and the college principal, who admit that they have burnt the last few pages of the book, as they contain a dangerous secret. Kabir also reads the book and is killed by the spirit. Shanti meets Disha's mother, who shocks her by saying that Disha has been dead for 22 years.

Shanti runs away from Disha's house and is chased by her spirit. She faints and wakes up at the home of Sunita Menon (Rati Agnihotri), a psychic medium who has been contacted by Manav. Sunita conducts a seance to communicate with Disha's spirit, who reveals her quest for revenge against Manav and his friends. Talli reads the book and learns that it is all about Krishna Cottage and its history.

    Review

Krishna Cottage is a horror film that tries to blend romance, mystery and suspense in its story. The film has some spooky moments and decent performances by the lead actors, especially Ishaa Koppikar, who plays the role of a ghost with conviction. The film also has some catchy songs composed by Anu Malik and Vishal-Shekhar, such as "Bindaas", "Suna Suna" and "Hamesha Tere Sath".

However, the film also suffers from some drawbacks, such as a weak script, poor editing and illogical twists. The film relies too much on cliches and stereotypes of the horror genre, such as haunted houses, possessed objects and vengeful spirits. The film also fails to explain some crucial aspects of the plot, such as how Amar Khanna wrote the book, how Disha died and why she looks like Manav's previous incarnation. The film also has a confusing climax that leaves many questions unanswered.
