Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.
If you're still having trouble, let me know what device this happens on, as well as the current software version.
Let me know how this goes!
In the screenshot you sent us we see that the repeat button has been turned on. While it's activated your songs/ playlists will be looped. You can learn how manage that and other playback settings in this support article.
Yes, I have the repeat option activated, but the song is the playlist, at certain times, at the end of the song, it should sound again, with its respective time (do not keep advancing the clock without sound, this is not a repeat loop ), what happens is that the song ends, and it stops playing, time simply advances to infinity (if I leave it like that it never ends), and there is no sound.
If the problem persists, could you share if you experience the same behavior on another device or in the web player? We'd also appreciate a recording of the issue. Just make sure to hide any private info.
Thanks for reporting this!
Could you let us know which speaker the issue is occurring with and if you use Bluetooth or the Connect function of the app to connect to it?
We'd also like to know if this happens only when the phones are connected to that specific speaker and, if not - I'd take a look if changing the network (to a hotspot for example) would make a difference
We'll be on the lookout for you reply!
Hi, I have the same issue and it happens to both me and my wife when using spotify connect to connect to the living room streamer (pi4 running volumio). I've tried reinstalling both our spotify apps and clearing cache. Problems persists.
We do have two different speakers. One is based on Sonos and the other one is kind of using Chromecast. It only happens when using the "Connect" feature on the Chromecast build speaker - the other one (Sonos) is not affected yet. We cant change the network but it happens on different devices - both Android.
Thanks for the replies. As @Vasil mentioned, you can also use a hotspot to test if changing the network has any affect on the behaviour. Try creating a hotspot with one of your phones and see how it goes.
Since the issue only happens when using the service with this specific device, keep in mind that HiFiBerry devices are not officially supported. This is most likely which might be why you're encountering issues. What you can try in this case is some of the steps mentioned in this thread from HiFiBerry to see if you notice any difference, however, we can't guarantee that it'll work seamlessly with Spotify.
Should anything else appear, we're just a post away!
I have a Pixel 4, most of the time when I play Pandora, i turn off my car the music stops and it's fine. However, a couple times a week at least, the music starts playing immediately on my phone after I turn off my car and it's quite loud.
Despite its value, time spent playing has dropped precipitously. We bring our work home on tablets and smartphones. We pursue self-improvement with militaristic zeal. Entertainment passively floods our senses in a never-ending cycle of clicks, likes and swipes. As animals, we have evolved to thrive in a three-dimensional environment that engages our senses and emotions, yet our ever-increasing online activity (ironically called social media) can isolate us from deeper and more rewarding experiences.
PLAYING FOR KEEPS examines the value of play through a health lens. We feature high-performing individuals who prioritize play as essential to a happier life. We witness how play is a particularly powerful antidote to those subjected to stress and danger on the job, while highlighting the power of a playful approach to our daily lives, regardless of our circumstance.
It happens at random, usually when I play around with my MIDI keyboard on an AIR synth, without recording or anything, just playing. After about 15-20 minutes GUI freezes but I can still play notes on my keyboard.
Hello there,
I was struggeling with this problem for over a year now, getting very paranoid and saved every two minutes. Very often when I forgot to save my project and was i.e. writing lyrics while playing the song, - just when I got back to the project the computer was crashed, - but as you pointed out the music still playing. It was also exactly the same, that nothing could be done except stop the process in task manager, but then wait for ten minutes until Nuendo was really out of the system. Other solution was to hard reset the computer and boot up again. NOT what I would call a workflow.
After app. 18 months of configuring my system, throwing out my old graphics card, going deep into system settings to get rid of background processes and so on and so on, the problem still RANDOMLY occurs. Means, it happens if I play a super simple rompler, but also super complex Kontakt arrangements, - or by times also not for two days. Anyway, I had to come up with a solution to keep working.
After making sure that it is not related to plugins or Kontakt which I checked in Ableton and Presonus Studio One.
I had to decide to switch to Studio One.
It hurts, - for many years I did all projects on Cubase / Nuendo and switching the DAW is a long way, especially if you have to continue a lot of projects written on your old DAW. At this point, I gotta say it was my only solution.
In two years, when I get a new computer, I will give it maybe a go again, but for now Studio One just gives me a secure feeling of trying and enjoying what I like most, without getting completely paranoid and frustrated.
Did you find a solution for your problem at all?
How could you fix it? A new computer?
Best,
TTT
We set the timer on the TV to switch off an hour after we go to bed. I'll switch it on the following night, and the cast will be playing a random youtube video about Bass music or the Romans because the chromecast has been playing since the previous evening. My history is full of random videos at this point, not so bothered about that but it shows me the extent of the issue..
There doesn't appear to be a setting to change this. Because it is the cast with Google TV, it will not run off of TV power and has to be plugged into the outlet. Are there no settings to resolve this? Thanks in advance..
Of course! Just out of curiosity, what kind of television do you have? I have a Vizio E70-F3 and a Chromecast with Google TV, and I played an 8 hour long YouTube video, set a timer on the TV to turn off after 30 minutes, then checked back after about an hour and a half. The video was only 30 minutes in, so it did stop playing on my end. It may also be worth it to check out your CEC settings on your TV to see if that helps at all.
The situation is this: we put the chromecast on while we are trying to sleep so it plays in the background. I put the TV timer on to turn off in an hour or so after we've fallen asleep. Our gen 1 chromecast plugged into the TV so would turn off with the set, but as this new chromecast uses wall power it does not appear to do this. I have to turn it off myself when I should be sleeping, it's silly but knowing now that it will just keep playing all night keeps me awake until I sort it. My partner needs the noise to fall asleep and I've gotten quite used to having it myself.
Turning off autoplay would mean it wouldn't be practical for what we use it for unfortunately. It seems it doesn't detect when it's output device is no longer there, and just keeps playing into the void. Is there an auto power off for the chromecast I've missed in settings? I guess a timed plug might be the only option which seems a bit mad considering how good this tech should be.
You're brilliant, I knew there was something that should do this but I didn't know what it was or how to set it up. I have now turned it on on my TV (it's a Samsung) and I'll see how it goes but I think this will sort it. Thank you!
I have created a event start fire after 0.4 seconds created another event stop fire and the audio also plays for 0.4 seconds. But before this 0.4 seconds if the pawn dies while firing it keeps on playing the sound
