Hello, Square Citizens,
The 24 Hour Comics Day event this year will be a little different: a
12-Hour Super-Studio hosted at my home in Vienna, VA, from 10a to 10p
on Saturday, October 5.
The event details can be found either on Meetup or on Facebook:

More info below; if you are not on meetup or facebook, reply to this
email and I'll send you my address to attend. Cheers!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
You do not need to attend for all 12 hours, but you are welcome to!
Drop in when you like, leave when you like. Bring your creativity, art
supplies, story dice, some high-energy music suggestions, and a dish
and/or drink for the day-long potluck. Join your fellow artists in my
den to share a creative space for a few hours or for a whole day.
Bounce stories off each other, share art tips, join in a pass-a-panel
we will definitely be doing because 12 hours of pass-a-panel,
honestly, how could we not....
I will supply plates, cups, plasticware, tables, trays, and some
seating, as well as blankets and cushions for floor-squatters. If you
have a chair you'd like to bring for yourself, feel free to bring one
along. WiFi is available, of course.
Plenty of street parking, and we are an easy 25-minute walk from the
Dunn-Loring Orange Line Metro station. If you are cycling from metro,
get off at Dunn Loring!
Food and Drink: Please consider bringing something pot-luck style to
cover one of the meals, snacks, or drinks. I'll have iced tea and
water available, and a bottle of Sprite. Hot tea, coffee, or cocoa can
be provided upon request. I have a bar that has a selection of wine
and spirits that is open to my guests as long as you don't drain the
well. I don't have much beer, so if that's your drink of choice,
please bring some! If you want other drinks, let me know, or bring
your selection with you!
Entertainment: In prior years, putting movies or videos on has been
counterproductive, so this year we're going to use music to set the
creative space mood. I have spotify (free), amazon music (no
commercials), and youtube available. If you'd like me to queue any
selections up, send me a message with your suggestions or drop a line
in the discord "music" channel. Feel free to bring anything you think
we'd like to throw on to energize ourselves, I can connect any player
with an audio jack or bluetooth to my soundbar.
