Hi all,

Tamil weekly magazine ‘Puthiya Thalaimurai’ have announced a voting campaign to select the best person of the year 2010. Everest founder Kartheeban, a 25 years old youngster is also one of the contenders for this award. Refer the attached document to read the magazine article.

Kartheeban found Team Everest in 2006 when he completed Engineering and joined Cognizant. Team Everest works towards providing education for under privileged students. What was an one man show in 2006 has now become a team of 3500+ volunteers now of all age group! Now, Team Everest have touched more than 2lakhs people through its 1000+ initiative in the past 4 years. Check www.teameverestindia.org & www.teameverest.wordpress.com to know more about Team Everest. They have also sponsored education for 500+ school/college students in the past 4 years.

Apart from helping the needy, Everest also focuses on motivating people to volunteer for good cause and bring a change in the country. 4 news NGO’s were formed after getting inspired by Team Everest.

We, the volunteers of Team Everest and friends of Kartheeban would like to campaign for him to get the maximum votes. This will help Team Everest to get some media space which will help us to spread awareness about our newly launched Serve India initiative message (http://teameverestindia.org/aboutserveindia.html ) to a large number of audience. Remember that to make the Everest Serve India initiative successful, we need to create awareness among people.
