Hey JC, thanks for the question.
It's been a long time since I worked on this project! Things changed since. I might get some free time to spend on it again, but I'm not sure how relevant it is anymore. Back then, I was pretty confident it was the best SQLite wrapper for JVM in terms of performance, architecture and code elegancy. But it fell out of date – for one, it was pre-Java 8, so modernizing the code and the docs would be imperative for code cleanliness. It might also be a question whether, with the modern JVM and hardware, the performance gain from using native integer arrays still justifies the added complexity.
I'm curious to learn whether this project is still being actively used somewhere. I know there are a few forks, and perhaps people have pushed it forward. If there's significant usage going on and there's value to be delivered to a number of software developers and projects, I might work on it further or join the group behind one of the forks. Curious to hear from you and the rest of this google group!
Best regards,
Igor Sereda
