Hi Tomas,
I'm using SQL Workbench/J build 128.3 with openjdk version "17.0.4"
(64 bit) in Ubuntu 22.04.

I'm using the look and feel "Metal" and I see that in 128.3 the border
of grids is more "heavy" respect 128.2 (see attach 128.3.png vs
128.2.png).
Is it possible to restore the previous "light" border? Or you have a
parameter to set grid's border color?

Thank you very much, best regards
Enrico.-

Interesting.

I did in fact change the grid color away from the default.

This was previously done for all Look & Feel implementations.

That however conflicted with configuring FlatLaf, so I changed it, so that it's only applied for the Windows Look & Feel.

So what you see, is what the Metal Look & Feel really looks like ;)

I can certainly re-add this to also be used for the Metal Look & Feel.
Is switching to FlatLaf not an option for you? It's the default Look & Feel I select now on non-Windows platforms.

Regards
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Metal is our default Look & Feel for every Java program we use/made...
You are right, the actual Metal is really looks like. I only notice
that before was better :)

I see FlatLaf and font is very clear (better than Metal) but column
header, tab and column separator are so faded that, for me, it made
confusion... (see attach).

It's hard for you to add the grid's border color in the configuration?
If so, I can bear the actual Metal, no problem.

Thank you very much, best regards
Enrico.-

I do agree: FlatLafLight is too "light" for me as well - but it's quite easy to customize it to your liking.

The attached screenshot was created based on the customization in attached properties file.

The .properties file needs to go into the "ext" folder of SQL Workbench

With the current dev build it's also possible to use FlatLaf themes:

Hi Thomas,
thank you very much to restore the previous "Metal border".

As soon as possible I will give a look to FlatLafLight with your
properties file.

Thank you very much, best regards
Enrico.-
