to SQL Workbench/J - DBMS independent SQL tool

I am connecting to a Redshift cluster and executing a few queries and for certain cases I get a blank message window that displays no messaging information.

The scenarios I've noted so far are:

If I run SQL that has over 50 lines of commented out code using /* comment */

Very long 100+ lines of CASE statement logic.

Is this a known bug where it causes no message to be displayed?
