Hello,

Is there a way to enable/troubleshoot font antialiasing?
It does not work for me.

Switching to the modern "FlatLaf Light" look and feel from my favorite "Metal" (I've been using it for years with no issues) makes it a little bit better.
But the most important elements - tables (#4) and code editor (#5) - still look terribly poor.

Any ideas?

Alright, it turns out that the old build #128 works just fine.

Therefore, this topic becomes a bug report for the latest build #129.

Hmm, I can't reproduce this.

The Metal Look&Feel doesn't seem to properly scale on HiDPI screens but after adjusting the "Standard" font size", everything is clearly readable.

Where does that "JetBrains" Font come from? Did you try a different font?

sqlworkbench.sh already contains the only setting I know to influence this

-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=on

But even if I start it without that, I get clear fonts.

This is on an Ubuntu 22.04 VirtualBox VM

Neither can I reproduce it anymore! I can swear I didn't touch anything at all 😊
Have just tried build #129 on JDK 11 and 17, all fonts look nice and smooth.

What was that? Must have been some kind of glitch.
Anyway, false alarm, phew!

Let me take this opportunity to thank you for this fantastic, absolutely amazing instrument, Thomas!
