Final Chance to register for Mathsweek Scotland Events

Dear Statistics and Mathematics Teachers in the Edinburgh and Glasgow Areas,

This is an update on the two Mathsweek Scotland Events being run by the Edinburgh and Glasgow local groups of the Royal Statistical Society.

As of 1pm on Sun 22 Sep 2024, across both events, there are over 90 attendees who have registered to attend, but the Glasgow event is now likely to be full.

Please circulate the appropriate web link to all of your current S5 and S6 pupils (and any undergraduates that you know) and encourage them to sign up by the end of Tue 24 Sep 2024.

This event is suitable for pupils who are embarking this session on Higher Mathematics, Higher Applications of Mathematics, Advanced Higher Statistics, Advanced Higher Mathematics and Advanced Higher Computer Science.

This is designed to help them with their future subject choices, UCAS applications and career plans.

As teachers, you are also welcome to register your interest in attending and quiz our mystery guests as well.

Note: pupils and staff can attend as members of the public, and not as part of any official school group or trip.
