Dear SQA Maths teachers and users of TI-Nspire CX handhelds

Video solutions for how to use a TI-Nspire with the recent diet of SQA Maths exams are now available online:

2019 National 5 Maths:
Paper 1: Questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Paper 2: Questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19

2019 Higher Maths
Paper 1: Questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16
Paper 2: Questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15

2019 Advanced Higher Maths
Questions 1, 2a, 3, 4, 7, 10, 15, 16

2019 Advanced Higher Statistics
Questions 2c, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12

Video solutions exist for both Calculator and Non-Calculator papers simply to show how the TI-Nspire could be used when the topic is covered during lessons. In the majority of cases, students can use the TI-Nspire to check any solution they have obtained by more formal methods, as well as possibly giving them greater insight to the concepts behind a process.

The videos have been made using OS4.5 (for N5 Maths, H Maths, AH Stats) and OS5.0 (for AH Maths)
I would strongly recommend upgrading to OS4.5.1, if you’ve not already done so, as it supports easy switching from DEG to RAD mode by simply clicking on the 3 letters in the top right corner. No more faffing around with Menus and Document Settings!
You can download the OS4.5.1 for the numeric TI-Nspire CX handhelds from here:

The full catalogue of video solutions from 2010 onwards is here:

Hoping these are of interest and use to both staff and students.
