spymemcached with multiple server: reading old value after client restart

Apologize in advance for what is a very basic question.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the client algorithm.

Assume the following use case:

Two server A,B

Client sent update to A

Connection to A fails

Client send new update to B (same key, new value)

Client reboot, and connection to A restore

Client read old value form A - although newer value exists on B

Am I missing something here?

BTW, I'm using AWS ElasticCache, but AFAIK, it should not matter.
