I have an EC2 Linux server which has public IP in subnet a, besides I've made another EC2 server in subnet b, which has a private IP. Both servers are in the same VPC. I want to ssh to the private server from the public server. The SSH port is open on the security group setup of the servers. But I got permission denied (Public IP)

If I use add agent, then only from my pc I can ssh to the private server and if there would be more users that need to ssh to the private server, all needs to do agent forwarding so I'm not sure if that's the best way for this case. What if I use key when I want to connect to public server, then ssh to private server without using key. Like:

Since you launched each one with its own keypair, you will have to use each server's respective keypair to ssh onto it. So, there are 2 ways to log onto 10.0.20.71. 1) You could put a copy of the private key used to launch it onto the public server and would then use it to auth to the private server - e.g.

An arguably more secure solution would be to use ssh agent forwarding. With this solution you are not storing private keys on servers. On your computer you should have the 2 keys you used to create the 2 EC2 instances. You can add both of these to the ssh agent with the command

I have a Linux server (Ubuntu 12.04) I'm using to learn as much as I can about server management. I've got as far as getting a full LAMP setup running, but have hit a dead end trying to get a domain name to point to my server.

EDIT: Thanks for the tips - just to better inform the situation - I have a few spare domain names registered that I can use, and I'm renting a VPS to play with. Currently I have the DNS * and @ A record pointing to the IP, but the nameservers are with the registrar if that makes a difference?

You should start by seeing if you can change your domain's DNS in their control panel. If you can, then you shoud set the domain to use an A record to point to the IP address for your VPS you're running stuff on. Once you do that, wait 24 hours and check to see if the domain correctly points to your server.

Once adversaries have provisioned a VPS (ex: for use as a command and control server), internet scans may reveal servers that adversaries have acquired. Consider looking for identifiable patterns such as services listening, certificates in use, SSL/TLS negotiation features, or other response artifacts associated with adversary C2 software.[7][8][9] Much of this activity will take place outside the visibility of the target organization, making detection of this behavior difficult. Detection efforts may be focused on related stages of the adversary lifecycle, such as during Command and Control.

Airconsole Enterprise Server (previously "Airconsole Enterprise Server") enhances the functionality of the Get Console App and Airconsole. It aggregates roaming iPads/iPhones running Get Console, standalone Airconsoles, and Airconsole TS Console Servers into a single on-demand cloud based terminal server. NOC operators can remotely access, control and execute scripts on remote equipment in the field, regardless whether that equipment is fixed or mobile.

And the best part is the price. Airconsole Pro and XL adaptors already include licenses. Additional licenses for Airconsole Standard and GetConsole App users are available very reasonably on a per client basis, or on a Get Console hosted server get unlimited licenses AND Amazon hosting for just $99.00/mth all inclusive and instantly provisioned. For Self hosted installations additional licenses for iPads and iPhones running Get Console and Airconsole Standard terminal servers are available here.

This page is for people who need private servers to either grind in peace or to server hop for spawns. Please do note that this page is not forcing you to put it here, this is just to give back to the community if you would like.

I bought a private server for the sole purpose of doing hidden wave with some people. I won that, so now I just use it for solos. I have 450 Robux, but I don't plan on buying another private server. I should probably make better use of it and try setting up some hardcore bullshit, I just need a strat. Anyone have a GOOD hardcore win strat? Asking for a friend.

After a restart of one of our servers (a Windows Server 2012 R2), all private connections become public and vice versa (this user had the same problem). Stuff like pinging and iSCSI stopped working, and after some investigation it turned out this was the cause.

The problem is that I don't know how to make them private again. Left-clicking the network icon in the tray shows the "modern" sidebar, but it only shows a list of connections, and right-clicking them doesn't show any options.

Our servers are assembled and configured by OVHcloud, to deliver you optimal performance. Our VPS servers are powered by Intel next-generation architecture, NVMe SSD storage, and a highly resilient infrastructure, to meet your needs.

Traffic for your VPS server is unlimited*, with a maximum bandwidth of 2Gbit/s. This means you can host services or applications that require a high bandwidth, providing your customers with an optimal browsing experience at no extra cost.

Yes. A VPS can be partitioned, and organised to suit your requirements. This means you can use it to host several websites or projects, by allocating a private space to each one. You choose the volume of each space, too. To simplify how you do this, you can install a web hosting control panel like Plesk or cPanel.

Using a VPS is the next logical step up from using a web hosting plan. Virtual private servers offer a wider range of options, and more flexibility in terms of configuration, access and features (root access, Apache PHP.init). You can also install an SSL certificate and any other software you want.
However, we would like to emphasise the importance of choosing the right VPS for you. A VPS needs to be configured in a way that suits your application requirements, and the growth of your business.

With a Plesk web hosting plan, you are provided with a storage space that has Plesk pre-installed. You can manage your websites, but you are not the administrator of the service. You can only use it for managing your projects.
If you choose a VPS, you are the server admin, and OVHcloud has no access to its content. This way, you free to configure it in whatever way you like.

A Cloud VPS is a virtual machine optimised and designed to adapt to pre-production and production environments. It is a dedicated environment on which you can host one or more web projects.
The OVHcloud Public Cloud offers a multi-server infrastructure, with high availability for servers. vRack, a private network service, is also available with this solution.

Once installed and licensed, the AIS can acquire licenses for Altium software from the online AltiumLive License service via the AltiumLive portal. This is performed through the server's License Manager page (ADMIN LICENSES), by selecting the From Cloud option of the button menu.

Note that the AIS cannot be set as a Secondary server when configuring the licensing connection in the Private License Server Setup dialog. The additional Secondary server fields in the dialog apply to the legacy License Server application, which runs as a Windows service and is recognized by both the Primary and Secondary server configurations.

Use the Disconnect button to disconnect from the currently connected private license server. Use the menu of the Disconnect button to connect to a previously connected server, establish connection to a new server, or remove the currently connected server (essentially, disconnect from it and remove it from the list of previously connected servers).

Along with licensing Altium design software such as Altium Designer, the Altium Infrastructure Server (AIS) can also be used to license an Altium Server. In this configuration of servers, the AIS acts as a central licensing manager to all Altium products including any Altium Servers on the network, such as those used for design data management in individual engineering departments.

The configured department Server will now lease its licenses from the central AIS, which will show (at a minimum) that a server license seat User Count has incremented, and the occupied seat is registered to the remote Server's generated :System user. In this example case, the remote server (Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server) is hosted on a PC named IMPALA.

In larger multi-server systems, as described above, a departmental Server provides normal data management services to its local workstations, but its internal licensing service (PLS) is 'switched over' to use the license service in the central AIS. This means that licensing for both the department Server and the local Altium software that uses it will be provided by the central PLS service.

By way of example, the below image shows a department server (Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server hosted on IMPALA) with two registered User accounts; Bruce and Narelle. These represent accounts for local users that sign in to the server to access its data management services. This server represents one of the local department Servers illustrated in the above multiple server image, where all licenses are sourced from the central licensing service in the AIS.
