History Panel doesn't register steps while debugging

Good morning all:

 

I noticed that the History panel doesn’t register new commands typed on the Console when debugging. I didn’t see an option to make debugging register on the History pane. Is this something that would be of interest to others? If so, I could include a request on GitHub.
