Can't upgrade spyder 4.2.0 to use python 3.9 on Mac

Hi,

I have removed anaconda, and install spyder stand alone with the new .dmg image. Even though my mac is set for Python 3.9, Spyder keeps using 3.8.6. I can't add modules that are needed for ex: splinter...

Works in my terminal CLI:

Doesn't work in Spyder:

Any idea how to resolve this issue? I couldn't find a way to change the path of python either as PYTHONPATH MANAGER doesn't allow me to chose the python path:
