Hi,

Im new to Spyder. I messed a bit around with rearranging the windows
layout in spyder, and now it is a bit unpractical. I have been going
through the menus and preferences, but I cannot find an option to go
back to the default layout of windows. Is there such an option, or do
you have any good advice for me to go back to the standard layout.

Perhaps you can tell me if there is an option to save a given layout
and export it to another machine running Spyder, this may come handy
in the future.

Thanks.

Sincerely
Michael

There are two options in current version:
1. reset *all* settings to default (spyder --reset) -- there is a
shortcut for that if you have installed Spyder on Windows
2. reset *only* the window layout by removing the option
"hexstate" (section "main") in $HOME/.spyder2/.spyder.ini

In the meantime, I've added the option "Reset window layout" in "View"
menu for the developement version:

There is no such option for now. I'll think about it.
