Cannot debug a subroutine

Hi, I've not long updated to Windows 10 and updated Anaconda/Spyder to the most recent versions.  I now cannot use the debug feature very well - it will stop at a break point in the main file but won't step through a subroutine.  Is this a common problem or am I doing something wrong?  Thanks :)

I think you should update the version because sometimes it happens.
