Hi all,

On the behalf of the Spyder Project Contributors, I’m pleased to announce that Spyder 3.3.3 has been released and is available for Windows, GNU/Linux and MacOS X: https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/releases

This release comes two months and a half after version 3.3.2 and it adds the following new features:

  • Fix an incompatibility with Numpy 1.16 that generated an error when trying to open an array in the Variable Explorer.
  • Increase maximum PyQt5 supported version to 5.12
  • Increase minimal required version of spyder-kernels to 0.4.2 to get important fixes about saving/loading the current namespace and skipping installed modules from our User Module Reloader (UMR).

In this release we fixed 6 issues and merged 10 pull requests that amount to 39 commits. For a full list of fixes, please see our Changelog.

Don’t forget to follow Spyder updates/news on the project’s website.

Last, but not least, we welcome any contribution that helps making Spyder an efficient scientific development and computing environment. Join us to help creating your favorite environment!

Enjoy!
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Is there a way to have the variable explorer display variables created through a remote kernel?

Spyder 3.3.0
Python 2.7.15
IPython 5.8.0

Thanks,
Lynn
