How to plot disordered numbers of y-axis matplotlib

I have file with two columns say 'X' and 'Y'. I have some 'Y' entities w.r.t same 'X' values. So I can plot these values in dotted format and getting ellipse. But I can't join in a nice way; getting zigzag plot. Is there any way to join ellipse point with lp?
