How to use auto completion without installing Kite?

Hi there,

I just upgraded Spyder from 3.x to 4.0 and met a problem. I don't want to install Kite, because my computer hardware is not strong and I don't want installing any extra unnecessary software. But after I turned on the auto completion settings as I did it with Spyder 3.x, the auto completion function didn't work as expected. I could not even view a function's definition by clicking the function name with Ctrl or pressing Ctrl + G. 

Is there any way to use auto completion without installing Kite on Spyder 4.0?

Spyder completions should work fine without Kite. What version of Spyder are you using and what are your dependencies?
