I am currently calibrating snow parameters first, and then running the model once more to calibrate hydrologic parameters. How do i set snow parameters within toolbox to not change?
Snow accumulation and melt parameters were calibrated using observed daily snowpack data from the same weather station I pulled observed precipitation and temperature. Observed snow depth (cm) was converted to snow water equivalent (SWE, mm) by multiplying by 0.20, assuming an average snow density of approximately 20% water density (REF). Daily simulated basin-average snowpack (SNOPACK) was extracted from the SWAT+ basin_wb_day.txt output and matched to the observed record by date. The resulting time series of observed SWE and simulated snowpack were calibrated with the SWAT+ Toolbox using Latin hypercube sampling. Snow-related parameters (e.g., snowfall temperature threshold, snowmelt temperature threshold, maximum and minimum melt factors, and snowpack lag factor) were iteratively adjusted until simulated snowpack closely reproduced the observed seasonal accumulation and melt dynamics and achieved the highest daily snowpack NSE.
I hope this helps!
Best,
Liliana
