What does the multi-site calibration button do in automatic calibration?

Dear all,
I'm trying to calibrate my model for both streamflow and ET data at the same time by using both observations files for streamflow and ET together. I am wondering, in this case which observation file should I use for my calibration in the settings at top left of the interface? and whether I should turn on the multi-site calibration button and assign weights to different observations. I would appreciate if someone can help me understand this better.
