Hi! Does anyone know what the correct values, limits and change types should be inserted in the parameters? I am running a project where i put 10 different parameters and when i try the Sensitivity Analysis with the Sobol method it stops saying
''An error occurred while running SWAT+ -make sure output files are not open -Try running the model Executable in TxtInOut'' and ''Could not read the file_channel_sdmorph_day.txt Make sure it exists"
In both cases no output file is open, the sdmorph_day exists and when running the executable nothing seems  to go wrong.
I believe these messages appear due to a parameter stretching beyond the limits but i have no clue which is the one, and that why I'm asking if somebody knows the limits. Thanks

I have a similar case. Did you find the solution to this challenge?

I am still waiting for the response of somebody that knows what the limits are and what change type should me implemented, like Celray. I tried searching the documentation, but there is not something clear that tells the exact limits. I even tried ChatGPT for the parameters i am using, but when i tried them on my SenAnalysis the same messages kept popping up.

Hi Both,

The error says you have not run the model in SWAT+Toolbox at daily time step for channel. Once you run the model successfully in SWAT+Tooldbox, there shouldn't be any error saying the channel_sdmorph_day.txt doesn't exist.

Hope it helps.

Kind regards

Saeed

Thank you for your response! In my case i have these parameters. Firstly, i put them by pairs, running the model first and then running the Sensitivity Analysis with Sobol and 20 seed just to make sure no problem occurs. In simple words i put cn2 and cn3_swf, no problem. Then i put esco and slope, still no problem and the other parameters in the same pattern.

Since i see that everything is running smoothly and no message is popping up, i try all of the parameters with Sobol method and 100 seed. At 6% of the analysis this came up:

of course, i first run the model, then add all the parameters, then run the model again, then start the analysis.

One question as well, do you think the minimum and maximum values are correct? And what about the Change Type? Are these the changes you would choose ? if not,can you explain how to decide what type goes to each parameter?
thanks in advance!

k should not have a negative minimum if you are using "Replace" change. Minimum is 0.0001 and maximum is 2000. depending on the sample that is generated, some times it will sample a negative value because of your minimum which will cause issues, but the times it samples a positive value, it works fine. so you cannot be sure a negative value is not sampled unless you change the limits.

With Kind Regards
