Hello, Celray!

I've noticed that SWAT+ toolbox generally uses different parameter codes than those provided in the theoretical manual and even different than those shown on SWAT+ documentation website (https://swatplus.gitbook.io/io-docs).

Sometimes, the change is slight, so it's possible to infer the equivalence. Still, other times, typical ranges are very different.

Ex. Parameter:
SWAT+ Toolbox --> petco / possible range: 0.8 - 1.2
Equivalence SWAT+ Documentation (I suppose) --> petco_pmpt / possible range: 0.09 - 0.27
Equivalence SWAT Theoretical Manual (to see its inclusion in its respective formula) --> no idea

In other parameters, I have no idea about the equivalence with the original parameter codes.

Is there any place to see the equivalences?

On the other hand, could you recommend any documentation to understand the sensitivity analysys and calibration algorithms?

Thank you very much!

The parameter range for petco has been updated with the latest revision of SWAT+ and in SWAT+ Toolbox, it has been updated too except for description. The description will be updated with a patch and many more parameter descriptions will be added.

Hello Celray, thanks for your kind reply.

I need to solve another issue: how or where can I see the final parameter values after calibration? I'm worried about the final CN2 values if I set a relative percentage change of +30%... What happens to the original values near 90?... Theoretically, they will increase (130%) above the maximum possible CN2 (99)? Or was an upper limit set (99) from which no value can exceed this value?

I've tried to import the Toolbox project from Swat+ Editor, but I haven't had success yet.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The final parameters are, in short, in calibration.cal file. When parameters are changed using this file, original parameters are left untouched and are adjusted in computer memory when the executable is run. In cal_parms.cal you will find absolute limits (minimum and maximum) and if percent change or relative change would result in exceeding the limits in either direction, the value is set to maximum or minimum absolute value accordingly in memory. Thus, if you set curve number to 102, it will be reduced to absolute maximum of 95.

Let me know if you are interested in finding the original parameters for each HRU and/or any other objects.

Regards,
Celray James

Hello Celray,

Is there any way to import the calibrated Swat+ Toolbox project in Swat+ Editor or QSwat+ interface? Because it's easier to analyze the results through default maps and graphics, as well as create new scenarios editing specific tables in Swat+ Editor.

By the way... Does Swat+ Toolbox have full compatibility with Swat+ -LUT? (extension to allow changing LU map in stages during the time analysis period).

Thank you for your support and time!

If you update to v2.0.7, you should be able to find this feature in Export section under Parameters (Let me know how this goes).
I have not tested for the LUT part but if you have a custom executable, you are able to add it in assets directory and select it as a revision to use.

hello James, could you please let me know where to find the initial or original value of parameters (i.e. petco) being used before the calibration? in example for petco parameter on the swat+ toolbox interface when tuning the parameter it showed absolute range is between 0.8-1.2. i used percent method for changging wih min max -50 and 70 percent. my calibration result shows that petco current best is 65.079. i wonder if the calibrate parameter value of petco is laid outside the bound after the calibration. thank you for your kind help

You define all the parameter values from the Sqlite of the Swat+ Editor. Toolbox only import these values.
