Dear SWAT+ community,

I would appreciate a quick check on whether my hydrology looks reasonable or if I am misinterpreting the diagnostics.

Hydrology check warnings:

  • Precipitation too small (< 65 mm)

  • Surface runoff ratio may be high

  • Groundwater ratio may be low

  • Lateral flow > groundwater flow

Key annual values (mm):

  • Precipitation: ~56.6

  • PET: ~1073

  • Actual ET: ~47

  • Surface runoff: ~8.35

  • Groundwater/baseflow: very low (~0–0.05)

  • Average CN: ~74.5

Questions:

  1. Are these ratios reasonable given very low precipitation, or do they suggest a setup/parameter issue?

  2. Can low precipitation alone explain the weak groundwater contribution?

  3. Since both lateral flow and groundwater flow are near zero, is the lateral > groundwater warning meaningful?

Any advice on how to interpret or improve this would be very helpful.

Best regards,
Alissar
