to SWAT+ Toolbox

Hi everyone, I have some doubts.

I'm working with data from 1997 to 2023. In the SWAT+ Editor, I ran the model for this period, selecting a 3-year warm-up period, which provided results from 2015 to 2022.

When setting up my project in the SWAT+ Toolbox, I initially also used the  1997-2023 period with a 3-year warm-up.

However, I'm having trouble understanding when and how to split my dataset for calibration and validation. My goal is to use:

  • 1997–2015 for calibration
  • 2016–2023 for validation

In the YouTube tutorials, it's not clear at which step I should adjust this period.

From what I understand, before running the Sensitivity Analysis, I should return to the "Run Model" tab and set the period to 1997–2015 for calibration. Once the Calibration process (manual or automatic) is complete, I should return to the "Run Model" tab and set the period to 2016–2023 for validation.

Is this the correct approach?

Thank you!
