Hello all,

I hope that you are all staying healthy and well with this new crazy world
we are finding ourselves in! I wanted to take the time to provide some
resources for people to remain in contact with fellow SPS members, both
within our chapter and on the national level.

For those of you that have not heard, UAF SPS has a Discord server, which I
think would be best thought of as a "digital undergrad room" of sorts, can
be accessed at the following link: https://discord.gg/Zumry4P

The UAF SPS Discord is still small, and hasn't been used all that much thus
far, but I'd love to see it get some more love! I recently found that there
is also an SPS National Discord server, with members from across the world,
that would be another excellent networking resource; that server can be
accessed via this link: https://discordapp.com/invite/WcGrAcx

Finally, we have an opportunity to give feedback on how classes have been
going, organized by James McKay, one of our SPS members. He has created a
Google Doc on which people can provide comments and feedback that will be
forwarded directly to the physics department, in order to help make sure
that the future class experience can be as good as possible. This is
something that is extremely important so that we can ensure that we are
able to receive the best quality education possible! If you have comments,
you can add them to this Google Doc
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/12-IVBkjP00q-jFdoNvOZLv9HxZvBJKe4-pjuJJAs0es/edit?usp=sharing>
.

One other thing to mention, we will be holding elections for officer
positions for next year in the very near future, so if you would like to
nominate someone for any of the positions, you can send me an email or make
an anonymous submission here: https://ansr.me/jSGue

I'm really looking forward to when these restrictions are relaxed and UAF
SPS can continue to pursue our goals!

All the best,
Evans Callis
