Hi all,

Here's a summary of the opportunities we have coming up in the next few
days! If any of these events catches your eye, please let me know!

- *Nordale Elementary outreach event*-Saturday, Feb. 29 from noon-4pm:
This event is one of the first in our new collaborative ventures with the
Geophysical Institute, and promises to be a fun opportunity for outreach
with kids!
- *Creamer's Field star party*-Sunday, March 1 from 8pm(ish)-11pm(ish):
This is a last minute opportunity that would be a fantastic way to get a
very low-key, straightforward introduction to science outreach! We'll have
some telescopes available, and this event is always very relaxed and fun.
It typically brings an older crowd that has an interest in science, and can
be a great chance to make connections! *Urgent note:* *if you
are interested and available to help with this event, let me know as soon
as possible!*
- *Science Fairs-*Wednesday, March 4, 8:30am-noon (& other times): It's
science fair season in Fairbanks, and as such we have received numerous
messages from people seeking judges. If you are interested in trying this
out (it's an experience I highly recommend trying), contact Tori Tragis at:
tatr...@alaska.edu for more information about the one happening this
Wednesday!

If any of these opportunities is of interest to you (*especially* the
Creamer's Field one), shoot me an email and let me know; these are all
relatively low-key events that are great to get some experience without
being too overwhelming!

Best,

Hi Evans,

I’d like to come to the Creamers Field event and help if needed. Does it start at 8?

Thanks,
Skye

The Creamer's field event will officially start at 9pm, but I was hoping to
be there between 8 and 8:30pm to set up. One thing to note, I will need
someone to come to campus and help me get my telescope there (my car is out
of commission now). Thanks for the willingness to help! If anyone else is
available to help, having at least one more person would be great!

Best,
Evans Callis
