Welcome Back! We will have more information about opportunities for support and advocacy for the AL community shortly but wanted to share this communication about this important meeting coming up this Wednesday (September 11th) to help pick a successor for Betty Patu's vacated position - District 7. If possible please attend the meeting and/or follow the guidelines below to share your questions for the three finalist for this important role.

Dear families and staff,
On Wednesday, Sept. 11, there will be a second School Board District VII Candidate Forum at the Rainier Beach High School Performing Arts Center (8815 Seward Park Ave S Seattle, WA 98118) from 6 -9 p.m. During this forum, the three finalists will be invited to answer questions from the community.
Questions will be accepted through this District VII appointment webpage from September 10 at 8 a.m. through September 11 at 8 a.m. Questions will also be accepted in person from 6 to 6:10 p.m. on September 11 at the forum.
Translation supports will be provided in Spanish, Somali, Chinese, and Vietnamese, as well as American Sign Language.
For those that can’t attend in person, the forum will be broadcast on Facebook Live. The forum will also be filmed and posted on SPS-TV by noon on Thursday, Sept. 12. SPS-TV can be viewed on the following channels in the city of Seattle:
