Subject: Spruce Hill Survey

Good afternoon,

I'm a student at Haverford College, and this semester I'm taking a course titled "Urban Culture and Society." As a project for this course, groups of about 5 students each were assigned a vacant lot somewhere in the city to study, and our final project is to complete a deep analysis of the surrounding neighborhood and a proposal for what the space would best be used for. Myself and my four group members (cc'ed on this email) were assigned the former location of The City School, on the corner of Baltimore Avenue and 42nd Street.

In order to get a better sense of the neighborhood and the location itself, we have created a survey for inhabitants of the neighborhood to fill out, in order to learn more about who lives in the neighborhood, and what it's like. I was wondering if you would be able to get this survey out into the neighborhood through email or any other means. It would be a lot of help to our project.

Please note that unfortunately this survey does not have any actual sway over what happens to the lot we're studying; it is simply a college project. However, if there's anything that the community is already doing in an attempt to buy or transform the lot, we would love to hear about it and perhaps get involved.

Thank you again for your help,
Eliza Kollett
