Hi guys,

with all the changes going on. Who is in charge of creating gems? I can offer my assistance with this.

Kind Regards,

Hi Chad,

I guess I'm in charge of it for now, but what I wanted to ask the list about, is how should we actually do the 1.7 release?  With an RC right away, since we're not waiting on any new features?  With a second beta?  Or just wait (not too long) for all the unit tests in 1.7 to be fixed and a summary of the changes to be written and release the final 1.7?

I'd like some good advice on a decent release pattern though and then when we have a good pattern to try to follow, Chad, if you want to actually do the gem jiggery, please do.

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention!

Tyler,

just give the green light and I will package a gem.  I feel a patch update to 1.7.2.beta is best for now.  This will get abbot up to master.  Is the 1.7.1.beta the latest code for sproutcore?  Does it have the last commit from Apple?

If we get both abbot and sc up to master and release it as a --pre, then we should be in a good situation to start submitting and fixing bugs.

Thoughts?

Best,
