Free classes on lasercutting, Arduino, 3D printing

We moved the dates for the Arduino class back a week due to election day.  This class starts next Tuesday October 14.  There is plenty of space but you must register in advance and you must commit for the full six weeks.

Intro to Lasercutting: Jigsaw Puzzles!

Thursday November 8, 6-8 pm

Use Inkscape, a free open source graphics editor to design a custom puzzle for the lasercutter.   Design it, cut it, take it home!  No experience required.

Arduino Intensive:  Build a Robot

6 Tuesdays, November 14 - December 6, 6-8 pm

Explore input, output, sensors, and data and learn how to use Arduino to build your own simple robot. This class begins with an extended intro to Arduino, paired  with independent study, design, and building.    Base set of materials is included with enrollment, which is sort of amazing and unheard of.  Sign up today!

Intro to 3D Printing:  Visualizing Mathematics

Parts and Crafts is the community manager of the Somerville Fab Lab, a free resource open to the public!  For November's Project Night, we'd like to invite the vast network of more traditional artists, who may not have used these tools, or even considered how they would use them in their work, to tinker a bit, learn a bit and maybe make something awesome together!
