SpriteMe ignores .png images

Hi,
Just found out about Spriteme, followed the tutorial and it created a sprite out of 3 images from my homepage. However, 2 other images ('arrow_left.png' and arrow_right.png) where not even detected although they're not generated dynamically. Can't png images be sprited (like jpg images)?
