Yes, this long legged, dusky damselcreated quite a furore in filmland by refusing to wear abikini for the picturisation of a song in one of hermovies. The nonplussed producer (a top financier) hasreportedly threatened to replace her. But Ranganathan issticking to her guns reiterating that theresabsolutely no justification in being asked to stripdown.
When reminded of her revealing dresses in Aa ab lautchalen, Suman fires back: Sure, the story, thesetting and the character were backing me up all the way,so everything was appropriate and very natural. But Ihave no intention of dropping my clothes just because offilm-maker wants to sizzle up some scenes for the heck ofit, thank you! Otherwise, everybody knows that SumanRanganathan is no prude.....
