The repo files created during an install of Springdale 9 still reference
SDL 8. This is on a fresh install:

$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Springdale Open Enterprise Linux release 9.0 Beta (Parma)

/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-appstream-debug.repo:[sdl8-appstream-debuginfo]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-appstream-debug.repo:[sdl8-appstream-updates-debuginfo]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-appstream.repo:[sdl8-appstream]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-appstream.repo:[sdl8-appstream-updates]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-appstream-source.repo:[sdl8-appstream-source]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-appstream-source.repo:[sdl8-appstream-updates-source]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-core-debug.repo:[sdl8-baseos-debuginfo]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-core-debug.repo:[sdl8-baseos-updates-debuginfo]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-core.repo:[sdl8-baseos]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-core.repo:[sdl8-baseos-updates]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-core-source.repo:[sdl8-baseos-source]
/etc/yum.repos.d/springdale-9-core-source.repo:[sdl8-baseos-updates-source]

The actual URLs should still be correct, since they use the $releasever
variable, but those section headings are printed in yum commands, which
might confuse users:

# yum repolist
repo id                                  repo name
sdl8-appstream                           Springdale appstream Base 9 -
x86_64
sdl8-appstream-updates                   Springdale appstream Updates 9
- x86_64
sdl8-baseos                              Springdale core Base 9 - x86_64
sdl8-baseos-updates                      Springdale core Updates 9 - x86_64

Just noticed this in my own e-mail:

> Springdale Open Enterprise Linux release 9.0 Beta (Parma)

Is Springdate 9 still beta?

Good morning,

much of this was cosmetic (sdl8 mentioned as names of repos rather than sdl9 - had no impact on functionality) - but it is rather important to fix. Thanks for pointing it all out. I pushed yesterday repo updates and just now springdale-release ones.

Thanks again and sorry it took so long - still catching up now that I am back in office.

So is SDL9 officially released? Is anyone using it in production? Any feedback on availability of RPMs (EPEL, RPMFusion free and non-free, CUDA).

We are about to start - in the next few weeks, with new service nodes. Ramp up is always a bit of a pain... At that point we will start populating our local repos - but I know that quite a lot of 3rd party stuff is already available - Cuda is, pretty sure Mellanox OFED is available as well, EPEL has had stuff before RHEL9 was even released.
