Hi guys,

I'm trying to install oVirt 4.4-pre on our machines, but host install
fails, and in the log(/var/log/ovirt-engine/host-deploy/
ovirt-host-mgmt-ansible-20210610084928....) it says:

nothing provides python3-sanlock >= 3.8.3 needed by
vdsm-4.40.70.2-1.el8.x86_64

It seems that a newer version of python3-sanlock is available in
CentOS8, but not in SDL8:

[root@crocodile ~]# dnf -v search python3-sanlock
Loaded plugins: builddep, changelog, config-manager, copr, debug,
debuginfo-install, download, generate_completion_cache,
needs-restarting, playground, repoclosure, repodiff, repograph,
repomanage, reposync
DNF version: 4.2.23
cachedir: /var/cache/dnf

Has an update job of the packages gone wrong on the IAS-build-system?

Oh! I just found it in
8.4/x86_64/os/AppStream/Packages/python3-sanlock-3.8.3-1.el8.x86_64.rpm

But is 8.4 released?

Thanks,

/tony

Good afternoon,

it is almost done, or as done as it can be. Just have to at least fix up other repos so they work with 8.4 but otherwise it works for me, it installs, it updates. If you set /etc/yum/vars/releasever to 8.4 you can update to it now (and let us know if anything is broken).

So maybe today, maybe tomorrow...
