Hey all,

There are several packages in the Springdale 6 repos that CS@Princeton use for our base image that haven't made their way to Springdale 7 yet:

fish (unsupported)
func (addons)
nrpe (unsupported)
nagios-plugins-disk (unsupported)
nagios-plugins-load (unsupported)
nagios-plugins-proc (unsupported)
nagios-plugins-swap (unsupported)
nagios-plugins-users (unsupported)
springdale-DevToolset (core_Base)

I was wondering which (if any) of these packages were going to make it into the Springdale 7 repos in the near future or if I should get to work building them (or if they've been renamed and I've somehow missed them). Additionally, will the DevToolset repo come into existence in SD7 at any point?

Thanks,
Andrew Timmes

Hi Andrew,

I have to admit that despite SDL7 being available for a while now we are locally only now slowly dipping our toes into it.  So I expect that we will shortly add all of those but I added now fish and func - both to unsupported (for now).

Do note that DevToolset seems to be largely replaced with SCL so we will probably merge those (i.e. add devtoolset ones into new SCL) but that's a rather larger project that I have to get started on soon (SCL is not easy to get going, not at all...).

Hey all,

Just checking in to see if anyone has these packages built in their private repos somewhere. PU CS is looking to upgrade their public cycles machines to SDL7 over the summer, so if they don't exist, we'll probably build them and can pass them on to you if you'd like. Let me know.

Thanks,
Andrew
