to Spring Roo Cookbook
Hi,
Even though the title of the book is 'Spring Roo 1.1 Cookbook', the
book isn't targeting version 1.1 of Spring roo.
The recently released Chapter 1 and 2 are written based on Spring roo
1.1.2 version ( 1.1.2 is the latest Spring roo release). Soon to be
released Chapters 3 and 4 are also based on version 1.1.2. As I
progress with writing chapters, I'll be going back and updating
completed chapters to reflect the latest Spring roo release. I expect
that by the time the manuscript is complete, Spring roo will reach
1.2, and the content of the book will also reflect it.
A sneak peak at what's in Chapter 3 and 4:
Chapter 3: approx. 36 pages
- finder methods
- JPA relationships
- testing of JPA entities that participate in relationships
- Database reverse engineering
Chapter 4: approx. 74 pages. A lot of effort has been put into
explaining the configuration and artifacts generated by Spring roo to
simplify understanding why Spring roo does a few things.
- Spring Web MVC support in roo
- internationalization/localization
- themes
- controllers and JSPX views
- testing controllers using Selenium
- round-tripping support, and a lot more
If you have any questions, then please post it in this forum.
