Hi,

Any plans for FactoryBean support? I'm willing to help with this!

Paul.

Hi Paul,

As you probably have seen, there isn't a lot of activity in Spring ME
any longer. :-( However, that shouldn't stop you from extending it. In
fact, I will be a good open source citizen by accepting people that
contribute as committers. :-)

Perhaps it would make sense to move everything from SourceForge to
Github. That way it would be easier for you work on a branch for a
while.

Cheers,

Wilfred

Thanks Wilfred, I'll give it a try. I'll definitely need to get better
acquainted with the code though!

If you want, then we can spent some time (10 minutes) together on Skype, and I can walk you through some parts of the code base.

Hello !

I am also using SpringMe in my work (I work for RICOH) for embedded application.
I spent few time to understand the core and now I've made some changes on it!

If I can help you, don't hesitate ...

Regards,

Cyril

Hi Cyril,

That's awesome to hear! Is there anything you feel like sharing? I'm considering to move the source code away from SourceForget, to Github, in order to allow people to branch of there own versions, if they feel like it.

Hi Wilfred,

Certainly !
My changes are not very clean for the moment (many are "hard-coded"). However I'm sure this tool is very useful for many developers!
It' a great idea to move the source code, it would help us to share more easily new features!

It would be nice to have a quick overview of SpringMe architecture (first you have though of) to understand better where to make change and where we can extend the tool, what's about you?

Regards,

Cyril

PS:
Where do you come from?
I'm from Normandy (France) and I live near to Paris.

Perhaps we should move this to a more private conversation, but I am from the Netherlands. Was in Paris just a week ago though, to provide the Scala training with Martin Odersky. I am with Xebia; we have a French office in Paris.

If you're looking for an overview, then you might want to check this out:

However, as I said, I'd be more than happy to spend some time online talking about it, if there's enough interest.

Wilfred
