Spring ME support for nested beans with a parent, and also arrays

Hi Wilfred,

I've submitted a pull request for a couple of issues:

I have more changes to come, but I don't want to overwhelm you with
too much to review in one go. The changes to come depend on this pull
request, so I can't just submit them as a separate pull request.
