Update:
I just took a few hours to go through the briefing book in detail and edit the current draft. (attached)
(Initially I was planning on working on the policy recommendations, but there were some key differences in the various sections, so I prioritized the editing and will have to come back to the policy proposals later tonight or early tomorrow morning).
I apologize in advance if I substantially edited / rephrased parts of your section - the goal was mainly to make sure the document works as a whole rather than 4 distinct parts.
A few key notes:
• Really solid progress overall - It reads much more cleanly and with more organization than before
• Big differences in style - I tried to unify as much as possible, but there were some pretty glaring differences in tone, style, etc.
Let's make sure that in the briefing book we have a clear, direct, and professional tone. (It got a little informal in places). I think this will keep us consistent throughout.
• Incomplete sections - Some parts (i.e. Legal Frameworks) seem to be incomplete, like we were supposed to go back later and fill them in. I tried to amend some of these, but there are still some sentences that need to be cleaned up. If you have a moment, you may want to take a look.
• Background Section Long - Don't want to delete anything now, but I think this is a place we can trim if the page length grows too much. We may want to have slightly more discussion on the policy recs, but let's not do anything until we get that filled in.
I have to sign off now, but I will be back in the late late night or early morning to check back in.
Thanks all,
Fernando
