Dallas Hands-On-Java September 26, 4th Wednesday

TOPIC: Install, Configure, Administer, Repository Artifact Manager and
connect to Gradle

* September / October Plan: Let's Get Groovy !

"The Plan" -- next two "Hands-On" months will be another opportunity to
use a productivity improving, incremental paradigm shift language -- Groovy.

Paul Woods, will lead us through the "learning curve" of Groovy...
Creating lists, maps, sorting, range (say what?), loops, transformations...
Can I really migrate to groovy by removing all semi-colons,
setters/getters and change the extention?

Paul will lead us in the transition / benefits / why-to's in the
transition to Groovy.
How about Closures? Hot topic but do you know the What? The why? Groovy
can give you the sweet taste !

Wear your tie-dye shirts, [yes, I know some are too young to know what
that is] so don't come naked :-)
and lets get Groovy !!!

Bring your computer or bring a friend with one to team up with!
This group is *not* all talk. This will be an interactive, hands-on session.

=> Have a copy of http://groovy.codehaus.org/Download for the evening to
help us jumpstart the process.
