Hi SPRIGS community,
I'm pleased as Punch to reveal that UNSW has been selected as the host for
Cool Stars 24 (officially the "
Cambridge Workshop on Cool Stars, Stellar Systems and the Sun"), 24-28 July 2028. These dates are chosen to align with the 22 July Solar Eclipse. Sydney was selected through a competitive bid process against three other
cities in North America and Europe, none of which offered a total solar eclipse as a part of their programming.
Stay tuned for more info over the coming months, and I hope you'll join us in welcoming the worldwide stellar and planetary community to Sydney in two years!
Best,
Ben
