Hi
Just noticed this plugin is now included in the devkit (maybe it was for ages and I never realised!?)

Are there any new features it has? It looks like it has been merged back into a single .cpp/.h

cheers

The version that is included as part of the devkit was done by the Maya R&D team in Shanghai and doesn't include the latest functionality.  It is really more of a branch than anything else and was done without really consulting anyone on the Sony side (as far as I know).  At the time I was working for Autodesk so I did speak to them briefly about it, but didn't realize they were going to include it as part of the devkit.  I believe the main goal was to try and update it for the new API calls with Viewport 2.0.  It doesn't (or at least didn't last time I looked) use the texture atlas work that I added awhile ago, so the fonts don't look as nice in my opinion and there was a slight performance hit.  However, I believe some of the motivation was to understand and alleviate the need to use low-level GL calls versus higher-level Maya calls, which is admirable although potentially questionable.

This all happened about 2-3 years ago, so I might be hazy on some of the above and I haven't looked at it since then.
