Not exactly sure what is taking place here, but hopefully someone has
either seen this before and has solved it, or at least could point me
in the right direction on where to look for a resolution .

Currently, I have Spree 0.11 running on Rails 2.3.8 and Passenger in
Production.
I am using UPS to calculate shipping costs for the user.
I can run the code in development on my local machine and get the
proper values returned from UPS.

However, when in production, with the same credentials for UPS, I get
the error:

Shipping Error: Invalid Access License Number

I do know that for the UPS account, the production access has not been
granted as of yet.
Taking that into consideration, I switched Passenger to Development
mode on the server and get the same error from UPS as above.
So, I am not 100% sold on the problem being at the UPS side and
production vs development/test.

Has anyone seen this issue before?
I have Active Shipping installed as a plugin in the project.
Spree is also frozen at version 0.11.

Thanks in advance for any insight you might have for this issue.

Bumping this one again.
Has anyone seen this before or I am the first? :)

Thanks in advance.

Did you configure the API keys, etc. in your production environment?
Those are stored in the database so they wouldn't automatically be
available unless you explicitly configured them. Just a thought.

Sean--

Thanks for the reply.
I originally had have them setup as an initializer in my site extension.
I then created a migration and placed them in the database.
I currently have the following fields with appropriate values in my production database:

origin_country
origin_city
origin_state
origin_zip
ups_login
ups_password
ups_key

Is this the way it should be setup?

Thanks agin for the response.

Have a great day!

Hey DiamondD,

I was curious if you found a resolution to this? I have been stuck on the same issue for a few days now and have googled around with no luck.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Good day.
If I remember correctly, I had to call UPS and verify that the account
was set to be in production mode for it to work.
Once that was done, everything seemed to work just fine.
Hope that helps you with your issue.

Thanks,
Damon
