Use case in the checkout process:

1. User creates a valid order.
2. On the last step, Order Summary, the user goes back to change
shipping method.
3. Problem: Shipping rates on order summary are updated to the new
rates, but the name/description of the shipping method does not change
accordingly.

Does anyone have a patch for this?

This has been fixed on github/master, I presume you're running from the gem?

I am indeed running Spree from the gem. Is the version on github/
master more stable?

The github version would be considered a little un-stable as it has the very latest features and it's get lots of commits / activity, but then it also contains the latest bug fixes... kind of a double edged sword.

You can also use some git magic to rebuild yourself a patched gem (in
the case of a few crucial lines such as this.) You can use git
checkout v0.9.2 and then cherry pick just the fix that Brian is
referring to and recompile.
