Hi,

we've been planning this kind of integration with one of our major customer for some time. We decided to develop a custom rails application
and use the Spree API (http://guides.spreecommerce.com/rest.html) to integrate the stores.

That said, have you tried other forks of spree_suppliers, it has 13 and some of those have commits for fixing compatibility issues with
spree version 1.0. Have you tried those? (https://github.com/jdutil/spree_suppliers/tree/1.0)

Hello,

I'm new to Rails and recently discovered Spree as a possible starting point for my project which involves the following features:
  • Single store and cart
  • Multiple vendors for products
  • Only admins can add new products, vendors can not
I poked around and it appears Spree core does not offer this out of the box.  I tried adding the spree_suppliers extension but ran into numerous dependency issues including a version error with jquery-rails that made no sense.

Has anyone built anything like this before?  Any tips, recommendations, caveats would be greatly appreciated!

Chris
